Knox County Cattlemen’s Association.
Premium Bred Heifer Program (KCCAPBHP)
The Knox County Cattlemen’s Association is going to hold a Premium Bred Heifer Sale in the fall of 2008. One goal of the sale is to provide a consistent, reliable source of beef herd replacement females. The Association has been working this past year to develop the standards for the consigned heifers. The standards and protocol for the heifer development are to ensure are the animals are healthy, reproductively sound and would make good replacements in any commercial beef operation. Consignment is open to Knox and surrounding county cattle producers.
